This presentation explores how biogas plants can act as a battery. The biogas plant can: store renewable energy by converting WTG- & PV power into biogas/methane for long‑duration storage. use electricity for transport, plant operations, pre‑treatment and PtX processes (electrolysis + CO₂ utilization). store energy as methane in the gas grid — far higher capacity than conventional batteries. release energy when needed via CHP-gas engines or turbines. balance fluctuating wind/solar production and reduces grid‑connection. Join us and discover how biogas can help build a more flexible and reliable energy system.
