The ARPAL PRO MK-120BD disc wood chipper is engineered around this exact arithmetic, converting branch waste into uniform 5–50 mm fuel chip directly on site, with a heavy-duty cutting chamber designed to be quickly serviced in the field rather than constantly replaced.

At the core of the system are four CircleCut round blades, CNC-cut from 41CrMo4 steel and hardened to 60 HRC, each secured by a single heavy-duty bolt. When an edge dulls, simply loosen the bolt and index the blade 60 degrees onto a fresh segment — providing six working positions per blade that can be indexed on site in minutes without blade removal, grinding, or shimming. Facing them sits a 10 mm thick hardened and ground counter-blade, usable on all four sides and fully adjustable to maintain an ideal cutting clearance throughout the machine’s working life.

We deliberately do not publish a generic cubic-meter figure for blade longevity, as real-world timber varies drastically from clean softwood to dense, abrasive branches. Instead, we offer maximum field serviceability and total powertrain protection via a centrifugal friction clutch on the engine pulley. The clutch enables unloaded engine starting, smoothly engages the cutting disc at 1,500 RPM, and slips automatically during severe jams to prevent dangerous shock loads from reaching the crankshaft.

Driven by a powerful 20 HP petrol engine, the MK-120BD spins a heavy 34 kg disc measuring 524 mm in diameter and 20 mm in thickness, equipped with four integrated discharge paddles. It effortlessly processes softwood up to 120 mm, fresh hardwood up to 100 mm, and dry timber up to 80 mm with a low fuel consumption of just 1.3 kg/h. Discharging at a 2-meter height through a 360-degree adjustable spout, it throws processed fuel chip straight into high-sided trailers or tippers.
